Erwin Business Complex, 200 North 13th Street, Erwin, NC
Join us on June 6th for the 5th Annual Erwin Wilderness Challenge/Triathlon! This course will run through the countryside, down the Cape Fear River and into Downtown Erwin.
The 1st phase of the course begins with a 10 mile bicycle ride through the countryside to a Wildlife Landing. Phase 2nd will begin at the landing with an 8 mile Kayaking trip down the Cape Fear River to the Cape Fear River Park in Erwin. The 3rd and final phase will be a 3 mile run through Erwin to connect to the Dunn-Erwin Rail Trail & will end at the Gazebo in Downtown Erwin. A map of the course can be accessed at www.erwin-nc.org.
10 mile cycling, 8 mile kayaking, and 3 mile run. Also includes a relay team division.
Medals to be given to the First, Second & Third place individual participants and top 3 teams.

Registration begins at 7:00 am at The Erwin Business Complex, 200 North 13th Street, Erwin, NC where participants will sign in and pick up race numbers. Kayaks should be dropped off at NC Wildlife Boating Access Area, 640 Wildlife Road, Lillington, NC prior to the start of the race. Bikes and kayaks will be transported back to the finish line area where they can be retrieved after the race. Race begins at 8:00 am.
$50 registration for individuals, $30 for military participants, $60 for teams ($20/ person). NO REFUNDS!
Timing and scoring:
Chip timing by Run the East LLC, including splits for all 3 events. Participants must pick up their assigned timing chip on race morning and wear on their ankle for the duration of the event. Relay teams will pass timing chip at designated location in transition area.
