Join Ice Age Trail Alliance, National Park Service - Ice Age National Scenic Trail, Natural Heritage Land Trust, Sierra Club - John Muir Chapter, US Fish & Wildlife Service and Wisconsin Friends of John Muir for a special event on this now permanently protected land, which includes a portion of the original Muir family farm. Enjoy your choice of field trips and the dedication of a distinctive memorial wall that honors the cultural and historic legacy of this landscape. Schedule of Events: 1:00 pm Program with guest speaker Congressman Tom Petri 1:45 pm Guided field trips and presentations* 3:00 pm Refreshments with live music from Cheryl Leah and Ed Willett of Chance * Field Trips and Presentations Bird Walk -- Daryl Christensen, Muir Land Bird Club History of Settlers -- McGwin family, former landowners Ennis Lake Ice Age Trail Hike -- Luke Kloberdanz, Ice Age Trail Alliance East Side Hike of Farm -- Mark Martin, Wisconsin Friends of John Muir board member West Side Hike of Farm -- Fred Wollenburg, WI Friends of John Muir, & John Madden, National Park Service The Tale of Stickeen Performance -- Gerald Pelrine as John Muir Who: Free and open to the public. Space is limited and pre-registration is requested by Friday, June 5th. When you register, you will be asked to sign up for one of the field trips or presentations. Shuttle: A passenger bus will be available from Madison at 11:30 am and leave the dedication at 4:00 pm. Cost is $10/person to be paid when boarding. Reserve your spot when registering for the event.
