Doors Open Clarington (DOC) is pleased to announce the first two sites that will be open to the public on June 13th, the former Leskard Church (AYUS) and the Hive Bed and Breakfast (next door). DOC is a free-to-attend family-friendly event, open to the public.
The former Leskard Church, which is now been repurposed as AYUS – Durham Region Awareness Centre, was built c. 1850. The church is nestled in a commemorative forest in historic village of Leskard.
Explore its revitalized life as AYUS enables experiences that support individual development and connect a community of people interested in growth and well-being. With the vision to inspire, encourage awareness and motivate, workshops, retreats and events are held in the former church and the Hive Bed and Breakfast.
As a Retro Executive Home, the Hive Bed and Breakfast is a different kind of “Bee & Bee”, offering single room and full house rentals on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The house can be adapted to suit numerous purposes, sleeping up to 17 people in beds.
Come see these exciting new additions to this year’s Doors Open Clarington event on June 13th, 2015.
