Libraries in the Harrogate District support Dementia Awareness week
As part of their on-going commitment to Dementia Awareness, several drop in advice and information sessions will be on offer in four of Harrogate District’s libraries during Dementia Awareness week which runs from 17th to 23rd May 2015.
Local organisation Dementia Forward will be offering information and advice at drop in sessions at the following locations and times:
Wednesday 20th May at Ripon Library from 10.30 to 12.30pm, at Knaresborough Library from 1.00 to 3.00pm and at Starbeck library from 2.00 to 4.00pm
Thursday 21st May at Harrogate Library from 1.00 to 3.00pm
The Ripon and Harrogate branch of the Alzheimer’s Society will also be on hand to offer information and advice at Harrogate Library every weekday morning from 10.30 to 12.30pm from 18th to 22nd May
On Thursday 21st May there will be a Dancing for Wellbeing taster session at Harrogate Library from 1.00 to 3.00pm, everyone is welcome and there is no need to book.
In addition Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon and Starbeck libraries will all be hosting displays of the services and support available to local people with dementia and their carers.
