Please minimize any coaching from the audience. Again, an occasional cue/prompt is okay so that they don’t lose their confidence but please allow them to try on their own because this will allow them to grow. After all, it should be about growth over time not just a win for today.
AWARDS & RECOGNITION
Every participant that competes will receive a tiara and a special award based on placement. Division Queens will receive a round crown, custom star plaque and an embroidered sash. Supreme title winners will receive an even larger round crown, trophy and an embroidered sash. The door optionals, overall most beautiful, overall most personality, overall best fashion wear, overall best formal wear and overall most photogenic will be double crowned. These winners will each receive a sash and star plaque in addition to any other titles they may have received.
BIDS TO STATE EVENTS
Each participant will receive a bid to the open state pageant of their choice. The amount of the bid will depend on the placement. Participants wishing to redeem these bids must send in a $75 deposit within 60 days of receipt or the bid will expire. After a deposit has been received, a web-link will be emailed to you to complete your registration. Bids can be applied to any open state pageant produced by Star One and do not have to be used in the state the bid was received. The earned bid can only be applied to one open state pageant and cannot be used for additional events. If a contestant receives a higher placement, therefore a higher bid at a later event, and would like to change the bid used, they can absolutely do so. Bids cannot be redeemed for cash. If a contestant sends in their commitment form and deposit and decides at a later date not to attend (and does not want to transfer to another Star One open state pageant), the bid and the deposit will be forfeited. Bids must be redeemed within 60 days of receipt or they will expire.
