CTCTG 6th Annual Force-on-Force Training Meetup
May 16, 2015
Saturday, May 16th, CTCTG will be celebrating it's sixth anniversary by getting back to its training roots with a low-cost, high-quality, training event in Waco. This is going to be a big event with multiple classes followed by BBQ dinner on-site. Both alumni and newbies are invited. We will be doing six hours of superb training rotating through three stations:
MEDICAL with Robert Klenka. Students will learn/review procedures for approach and triage, use of TQs, Quick-clot, bandaging, pressure, chest seals, tension pneumothorax/chest decompression, nose hose, and cricotomy. Training will culminate in a Force-on-Force event where students will be required to put skills to use under pressure.
IMPROVISED AND OPPORTUNITY WEAPONS with Gus Reina. Students will learn how to assemble/configure readily available items into useful improvised weapons, and immediately identify, select, and use weapons of opportunity in exigent circumstances. Training will culminate in a Force-on-Force situation where improvised/opportunity weapon skills will be necessary.
POST-SHOOTING ACTIONS with John Hambrick and Mike Alston. Students will learn how to make contact with first responders and appropriate actions to take. See just how you would respond after a shooting in a culminating Force-on-Force event. Don't miss this opportunity to receive this critical instruction from career investigators who have responded to thousands of shootings.
Following instruction we will enjoy a BBQ dinner catered on-site at the range.
