Creative Enterprise Zone Give & Take is an interactive evening of presentations, games and surprises designed to celebrate creativity and connect you with others in our community. Creative Enterprise Zone Give & Take events tap the unique knowledge and curiosity of those who “Make It Here” in the Creative Enterprise Zone, sparking unexpected conversations and new connections. ABOUT THE CREATIVE ENTERPRISE ZONE: Located mid-city between Saint Paul and Minneapolis around the Raymond and University Avenue area, the Creative Enterprise Zone is a supportive coalition of organizations, businesses, and individuals working together toward the goal of becoming a recognized center of creativity and enterprise, a place where people make a living by their creative capacities. To learn more visit FEATURED PRESENTERS: + Shannon Forney, owner of soon-to-open WORKHORSE Coffee and the visionary behind “St. Paul’s Smallest Museum.” | With the help of the Knight Arts Challenge she is transforming a vintage fire hose cabinet near the coffee shop entrance into an inspiring gallery featuring art, displays and scenes from a variety of local artists and creatives. + Jack Becker, Founder and Executive Director of Forecast Public Art | Forecast Public Art is a non-profit arts organization in the Creative Enterprise Zone that connects the energies and talents of artists with the needs and opportunities of communities, guiding their partners in creating public art that expresses the community’s sense of place and pride. + Lana Barkawi, Executive and Artistic Director of MIZNA | Mizna is an organization devoted to promoting Arab-American culture and providing a forum for its expression. Publishing the only international journal of Arab-American literature of it’s kind, Mizna is committed to giving a voice to Arab-Americans through literature and art.
