The Women's Event Network, in partnership with Ravenswing Ottawa, SASC Ottawa, Nelson House and Women's Initiatives for Safer Environments, is hosting the annual Ottawa Clothesline Project on May 24th from 10 am to 5 pm in Minto Park.
The Clothesline Project is a visual display of shirts with graphic messages and illustrations that have been designed by survivors of gender-based violence or by someone who loves a woman who has been killed.
The purpose of the Project is to increase awareness of the impact of violence against women, to celebrate a woman's strength to survive and to provide another avenue for her to courageously break the silence that often surrounds her experience.
There will be food, a silent auction and more! All are
welcome to attend!
