Breach of the Peach
Singer/songwriter Pauline M. Hynd in cahoots with contemporary harpist Seonaid Birse as shamanic alt folk duo Breach of the Peach.
Some of you might know Pauline from her work with pianist Stephen Lee in The Onion Club. Others might remember her past collaborations with Seonaid Birse, including the 7 piece all girl band Vive L'Hysteric!
in Breach of the Peach, Pauline's percussive punky picky guitar playing melds seamlessly with Seonaid's cinematic sweeping harp grooves to create something highly original and truly captivating. Pauline's original songs are to the fore but there are also a number of well placed 're-imaginings' of the songs of Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell and other poetic luminaries. As relaxed and sultry as things get, don't get too comfortable as these girls have a serious edge and are guaranteed to blow your socks off. Aside from a couple of pre launch gigs last year, this will be Breach of the Peach's debut gig. With plans to tour later in the year and an offer to record with Martin Stephenson this summer we're very excited to see what these girls do. Come and see them first at Clarke Pickett. Tickets £5
