Hear Ye Hear Ye : *The Choose Your Own Adventure Silent Auction and Fundraiser Needs You!* -- Set up and clean up -- Getting donations for the auction -- Helping with food -- Publicity The plans for the event are really coming together so save the date of SUNDAY MAY 31 from 3-7pm to come out and raise money to support Ridge and Valley Charter School! There will be amazing home cooked food (one of best things from the event two years ago) that is will locally sourced as much as possible with multiple vegetarian and vegan options. there will be great live music and you can request songs or plan to sing (With practice sessions before the event) for an extra fee to raise more money! The silent auction this year will be online with mobile bidding at the event and this will smooth many of the rough spots from last time. If you can't make it to the event you can bid from home or have far away relatives bid as well on the many hands on experiences as well as handcrafted artisan items and gift certificates! Every penny raised at the auction goes directly to Ridge and Valley Charter School and makes a difference for all the students, guides and staff. This is our main fundraiser that we do every two years and it makes so many things that we love at our school possible. The venue is Hillside Park Lodge in Newton (Andover) and it is a big beautiful space with lots of room. There is an awesome park surrounding it with play grounds and ball fields and a lake. There will be supervised Earth Olympic games set up for kids and adults alike. This is not a fancy get all dressed up event. This is a family friendly come out and see how awesome our school community is and help us make fabulous things happen for our kids event. So dress casual and come ready to have fun! The Bidding For Good website that will be hosting the silent auction will also be where ticket sales will happen. All of that will be operational this week we are just finalizing the details tomorrow! Soon we will be launching an event page on facebook as well as weekly updates in the newsletter and on the chat and the facebook page. We the committee, Kris Kelleher, Melissa Dietz, Cindy Calvano and Mary Northrip have come up with a list of things we could really use some help with. So if you have a few minutes please take a look at the below list and let us know if you can help with any of these. Where we can we have put how much time we think it will take and if it is something that has to be done somewhere specific or can be done at your leisure.
