Chipmunk First-Flight Anniversary Gathering

On 22 May 1946, the Chipmunk flew for the first time. Chipmunk owners and operators are invited to gather at Shuttleworth, Old Warden on Friday 22 May 2015 to celebrate the anniversary. To register please email events @ and also PPR Old Warden on 01767 627 927. Other aircraft are welcome and must also PPR after February to give all the Chipmunks pilots a chance to book their slots first. All landings are free. The tower will be manned. 100LL & UL-91 is available. Visitors by car are most welcome. Entry to the airfield and restaurant is free. The Shuttleworth Collection, The Swiss Garden and the restaurant will be open 9am - 5pm. The visitor attractions cost extra, although there is a discount for groups of 10 or more. Ex-AEF (Air Experience Flight, UAS (University Air Squadron) and anyone remotely interested in Chipmunks are all welcome.
