Chesterfield's Famous 'Whit Walks' take place on Spring Bank Holiday, Monday May 25th, which this year coincides with Whit Monday.
The Brampton Procession leaves the bottom of The Gospel Mission's drive at 9.15am and arrives in town at 9.35am.
There will be a short service during which The Mayor will welcome the crowds at 9.45am in front of The Town Hall before The Procession sets off on Rose Hill at 10.05am.
As usual there will be decorated floats - this year's theme is 'Love your Neighbour' - marching bands, a music roadshow, banners and giveaways for the children in the crowd.
The event ends back in front of The Town Hall at about 11.00am and there will be refreshments served in Rose Hill URC.
We hope that as many people as possible will turn out to walk with us this Whitsuntide. For further information see Christian Esducation's website: christianeducationchesterfield.2day.uk or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
