Come join us as we celebrate the 10th annual World Wide Knit in Public Day . My very first time hosting for WWKiP was back in 2008 at Riverfront Park. It's a beautiful spot that I'm happy to return to again for this year's event!
We'll set up at the Riverfront Park in North Charleston (on the site of the old Navy Yard) about 9:30 am and knit till around noon-thirty, at which point I think the heat and hunger will drive us indoors, preferably to one of the awesome restaurants in Old North Charleston. We'll plan to roost under the trees near the parking lot, overlooking the water, or wherever we can get the best breezes off the river!
Knitting, crochet, etc
Stay for the morning or for just a bit.
Working on the Charity Knit-a-Long? Bring it! We'll have some prizes for anyone who can finish an afghan block (or knit the most on one) that morning.
It's free and there is ample free parking. Restrooms are located within the park. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be postponed to another date.
Tell your friends! Let's put knitting on the map in Charleston!
