In conjunction with Skydive Elsinore Too Wrapped Up’s Kickoff ‘Too’ Summer CRW boogie, we will be hosting a celebration of Adam’s life on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Skydive Elsinore in Lake Elsinore, California.
Eric Gallan and Don Johnson, two of Adam’s mentors, teammates, and fellow skydivers, will be organizing a memorial skydive for Adam on Saturday. After everyone lands from the memorial jump, we will get together for a delicious dinner at the drop zone. We’ll be collecting donations for dinner (courtesy of Kats Kitchen Collective) with all proceeds going straight to the Adam Rubin Memorial Fund.
When we gathered in Illinois last August, Adam’s mother, Linda, had set up a memorial fund in Adam’s name. We are working together to identify a facility specializing in treating Crohn’s Disease, where we will send the donations to assist Crohn’s patients with the cost of treatment. Adam lived with Crohn’s, and he lived BIG. But every eight weeks, he had to go to a facility and receive infusions to help manage the disease; a process that would take 1-2 hours and cost several thousand dollars per treatment. With your donations, we will be able to help Crohn’s patients receive the care they need to manage the disease in a way that affords them the opportunity to live a life of epic proportions, just like Adam did.
We encourage everyone to join us for this occasion, and if you have any questions at all, please email email@example.com.
