Please join The Condor Eagle at Hocking Hills State Park. as we host a Shaman Walk through unique and beautiful setting of Cantwell Cliffs in Hocking Hills State Park! The rich and varied scenery of colorful cliffs, waterfalls and winding trails through the forests of hemlock ash and other native trees and plants will become our classroom as well as our teacher. We will learn to look with new eyes, listen with new ears and open up to allow a deeper and more profound connection to nature and ourselves.
Our journey will follow the stages of life from birth, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, death and rebirth, with ceremonies along the way. The hike will be approximately 2 miles over terrain that is both flat and steep, with many steps and some ledges. This hike requires moderate to advanced physical ability Allow about 4 hours for the round trip journey. This is a awesome opportunity for self-healing and connecting with spirit through nature. Please bring a backpack with snacks, water, blanket (small) to sit on.
Wear good trail sneakers or boots and sun protection (hat, sunscreen or both), and bring plenty of water.
If you feel called and would like to join us in ceremony. According to Indigenous customs, Chief Hoop Watcher & David Two Crows, do not charge a fee for our medicine work and ceremonies, but according to the law of reciprocity money donations are usually offered in lieu of a fee for our work. The suggested offering is $40.00 per person.
Due to the nature of our activities, we are asking those coming with us to sign a liability waiver and provide emergency medical contact information. There will be copies available when we meet at the parking lot before our hike. As guides and healers we will be monitoring the group closely and reserve the right to modify the hike and activities as we feel necessary to protect the health and safety of all participants.
