The Bonnyville Centennial Centre is pleased to present ‘Canadian Country Music Legends’ in concert – Friday, June 5, 2015.
Joyce Smith- cross-country tours have included shows with Ray Price, Faron Young, George Jones, Wilf Carter and Hank Snow. Joyce has received numerous awards for her contributions to Canadian Country Music, and was inducted into the Alberta Country Music Hall of Fame in 1991.
Bev Munro- singer and radio host who played and toured with his band and others, and became a popular songwriter. Although retired from radio now, ‘The Voice of CFCW’ was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2002.
Randy Hollar- lives the cowboy life he sings about – and is well-known for his Percheron teams and hitches. He is a country and gospel singer, a great fan of Wilf Carter, and has recorded a number of CDs.
Alfie Myhre- a multi-instrumentalist and a champion fiddler, and has appeared with Canadian greats such as Wilf Carter, Stu Davis, Stompin’ Tom Connor, and Gaby Haas. In 1987, he received an Achievement Award of Excellence from the province.
Pete Hicks- has been with CFCW for 30 years, and has been a prolific songwriter and musician. Pete’s ever-ready handshake and warm smile are with him wherever he goes.
Rodeo Wind- comprised of veteran country artists Richard Chernesky, George Myren, Gary Okrainec and Paul Martineau.
