Camp G.L.O.W. is a four-week summer camp for elementary AND middle school girls. This program features a convenient 5- day schedule with sessions from approximately 9am-4:00pm each day.
Camp G.L.O.W. features programs that boost girls confidence and self-esteem by enabling girls to cultivate their exploration and discovery skills. In addition this camp teaches girls the importance of sisterhood by helping girls learn to support one another in leadership and excellence.
The camp features a plethora of signature L.L.L. courses including, It's STEM-ulating!, the Leading Ladies of Legacy Empowerment Circle, leadership forums, creative writing, Modern Dance, Music and Songwriting Workshop, Acting, and more.
Camp G.L.O.W. exposes young girls to the life skills they will need to be successful in any of their future endeavors. They will refine vital qualities such as self-confidence, teamwork and leadership. Campers leave feeling a deeper commitment to sisterhood, academic excellence, creative integrity, professional goal setting, and their own social responsibility.
CAMP G.L.O.W. encourages girls’ interests in STEM (Science, Math, Technology, and Engineering) by giving them hands-on learning and activities in an environment that is designed to be supportive, enriching, and most importantly- fun! We encourage girls to explore and take risks in various areas of their lives.
The Staff at CAMP G.L.O.W. is made up of a fantastic group of female role models who are teaching and/or studying STEM (Science, Math, Technology, and Engineering) full-time and are excited to share their passion with young girls. We also have a handful of dedicated mentors who want to give back to the girls by helping them plan their goal and guide them to the path of success.
Who can attend? Rising 3-5 graders and Rising 6th-8th grade girls (grade in the fall)
This is a day program for girls entering grades 3rd-8th in the fall of 2015. Students study one subject per week and work in small teams participating in project-based learning. There are no grades, tests or homework. Sessions are designed to be fun and engaging while offering challenging content.
These sessions are held in metro Atlanta and girls attend from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays. There are not housing or dorm accommodations for this program.
