Hark: calling all filmmakers, amateur and otherwise! Have you been involved in a film, or know someone who has? Please invite them to this page so they know about this opportunity! Little Melbourne TV is holding a its second mini-film festival in a Westgarth warehouse on Friday 19 June, and we’re doing a call for entries! (the event page will be posted on here soon) Not only is this an opportunity to showcase your filmy stuff to an eager audience and meet other filmmakers in Melbourne, but also to hang out with a great bunch of people and enjoy some quality warehouse cinema, celebrating our Melbourne talent. On the evening Little Melbourne will show its brand new episode, "EP 3: Nat the Taxidermist", featuring Natalie Delaney-john, owner of Australia's first taxidermy workshop, Rest In Pieces. Below are the criteria: - any genre of short film is fine (e.g. drama, comedy, horror, animation, documentary, music video, etc.) - what we're looking to showcase on the night is a variety of short films (they don't have to be professionally made!) - films must be between 2-10 minutes (a few minutes over 10 is okay) - there is no entry fee :) - you can enter films that you have already entered into previous festivals (other than Little Melbourne's first mini-film festival) - you must come to the event to see your film, or we can't show it (it'll be held in the evening after sundown and will go for about 2 hours) - you can bring friends - films must involve you in some crucial way, for example: you directed it, produced it, edited it, starred in it, etc. - you can enter a maximum of three entries - if you don't own the film, you need to provide written permission from the owner of the film in your email - you currently live in Melbourne -- this event is about local Melbourne talent! - ideally, your film is something you’ve made recently, but older films are also okay - ENTRIES CLOSE 31 MAY, 11:59pm Send your entries to via dropbox weblink or make your film downloadable on Vimeo. Please send a quality film file that is playable on a MacBook Pro. We can’t guarantee that your film will be shown, but we’ll let you know by Tuesday 9 June. In any case, it'll be a nice, laid-back evening, so come along and bring your friends!
