Philippe de Montebello, the former Director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, says museums might be “the worst possible places to look at art.” Art should be all around us. This is something Williamsburg Brooklynites fully understand because everywhere you walk you find buildings covered in beautiful street art.
My admiration for these works motivated me to document them. With the many changes happening in this neighborhood these pieces will certainly disappear.
I'm excited to share that the Red Eye Cafe in Montclair will be hosting an exhibit of these photographs. We are throwing an opening night party on Sunday May 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Hope to see you there!
