A must for fans who like a mix of 70’s like MC5, Blue Cheer, Hawkwind, Black Sabbath and hard psych-stoner from 90’s as Kyuss, Monster Magnet, Fu-Manchu and Nebula. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Black Rainbows The Italian psych-fuzz trio Black Rainbows sound like the bastard offspring of ’70s hard-rock swagger and ’90s stoner-groove; hints of Black Sabbath, MC5 and Led Zeppelin fuse with liberal pinches of Nebula and Fu Manchu. Since 2007 the band have released three full-length albums, coupled with split releases with bands such as White Hills, Naam and Farflung, and finally the recently highly acclaimed brand-spanking new album ‘Hawkdope’ – a fierce storm of heavy fuzz psychedelic Rock n Roll. ‘Hawkdope’ is out now worldwide via Heavy Psych Sounds Records – it is a perfect mix of MONSTER MAGNET-HAWKWIND-FU MANCHU; a psychedelic, lysergic storm of heavy space-rock containing nine brand new tracks. The band will hit the road in Europe from 18th to 29th March and again from 28th April to to 6th May, followed by a mini UK tour at the end of May. Shared the stage with band as: Airbourne, Nebula, Karma to Burn, Saviours, Jucifer, Farflung, Naam, Ancestors, Entrance Band, Fatso Jetson, Witchcraft, Dead Meadow, Black Mountain, Los Natas, White Hills, Micheal Davis from MC5, Vic du Monte LINE UP: Gabriele Fiori – Guitar and Vocals Alberto Croce – Drums Dario Iocca – Bass --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Old Man Lizard In the last two years, Old Man Lizard's recorded output and live shows have attracted the attention of critics and music fans as well as record labels; and 2014 will see the release of their debut album (recorded with Slabdragger's Sam Thredder) on Ampullae Audio records, as well as a split with Earthmass on Big Riff Records. Formed in Autumn 2011, Old Man Lizard wasted no time in recording and self-releasing a five track EP, which quickly gathered attention and critical praise leading to a slew of invitations to play venues all over the. Made up of Jack Newnham (also of Meadows - Superfi Records, Head of Crom Records), Gav Senior, and Dan Beales; Old Man Lizard are a power trio in the same vein as Cream or Blue Cheer, but the influences of contemporary bands from Taint to Yawning Man set Old Man Lizard apart from the often crowded and unvaried sludge and stoner scenes. In their short time as a band, Old Man Lizard have shared stages with seminal bands Dead Meadow, Arabrot, and Honky to name just a few, and have already been booked to play alongside heavyweights Conan and Dopethrone. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deaf Horse A self-proclaimed power trio, Deaf Horse comes from England with their new LP, House of Correction. The band has been called post-grunge, and you get some of that with the heavy, moderately distorted, guitar and raw production for that grunge aesthetic. But there's more than a categorization playing here. You can hear vibes of, not only grunge, but stoner, psychedelic, and blues rock.
