May 7, 14, 21, & 28, four Thursdays at 7:30 a.m. -- Bird walks at Spring Lake Park, north of Petoskey, with PRAS members John Shreve & Cynthia Donahey. Spring Lake Park is located near the M-31 / M-119 intersection north of Petoskey. Meet at the gazebo, and we'll walk the flat trails, boardwalk, and paved rail trail along Mud Lake to Round Lake. The leisurely-paced walks will last about 2 hours, but participants are free to come and go as their schedules allow. Loaner binoculars will be available. Participants will receive a checklist of Emmet County birds. We’ll be sharing the wonders of spring migration throughout the month, a great reason to get outdoors on a spring morning and enjoy the season’s changes up close. Bring binoculars and a field guide if you have them, and dress for the weather. Call Cynthia at 231-526-7157 for more info.
