THE LANG FAMILY:
On December 30th; our friend and neighbor, Chris Lang, suffered a traumatic brain injury. He has been through multiple surgeries to stop hemorrhaging and had part of his skull removed to reduce swelling on the brain.
Chris spent more than two weeks in the intensive care unit, followed by three weeks in rehab, where he endured hours of Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy each day. He has since returned home, but requires ongoing care and transport to numerous doctor and therapy appointments.
His family has been at his side through this time of need and everyone is doing their part to adjust to the 'new' normal. It will take 12-18 months for Chris to recover enough to get back to work. In the interim, Chris and his family are facing a financial hardship due to loss of income, health insurance and the incredible burden that comes from trying to keep the family afloat.
Your attendance at this auction will help support this family. ALL money from ticket sales, auction items, games, and desserts will go directly to the Lang's fund. All items have been graciously donated by our community sponsors and the generous support of the Eagle's Club.
Your host, MC, and auctioneer for the evening. As a contract improvisor from Spokane, WA, Phillip performs for corporate events, leads team building workshops based on improv principles, and regularly performs for diverse audiences ranging from family-friendly venues and professional environments to mature-only shows in a club environment.
As a stand up, Phillip uses a range of voices and physicality to create vivid scenes, generally getting ridiculous while making audiences look at everyday life through a different light.
