Some of you may have already received this information. Please share this with friends and family. Tracey Allen Johnson is a lifetime community member, who suffered catastrophic injuries from a horseback riding accident in July of last year. She was riding her 1900 lb. draft horse when the accident occurred. As soon as she mounted her horse, the horse reared up & flipped over backwards landing on top of Tracey. She was impaled by the saddle horn which caused traumatic injuries to her abdomen. Her spine was broken in 2 places, her pelvis was shattered in 3 places, and she broke 4 ribs, and suffered a collapsed lung. She was airlifted to Utica Hospital where she stayed several days until being transferred to University Hospital where she had to undergo several surgeries.
Tracey has two sons, Austin and Connor. She has been employed with Central Square School District for 15 years. Her husband Jack is also employed with the Central Square School District with the Maintenance Department. She does have medical insurance, however there are many things not covered. Tracey is not eligible for disability at this time. Her sick time was exhausted and her return to work date has yet to be determined. We ask that you come out to support Tracey as she is a huge supporter of so many of us. If you would like to make a donation to her benefit or purchase tickets, please feel free to leave a comment on this page or contact Mary Pandossi (243-1355) or Brenda Smith Weissenberg (676-3024). Thank you.
