This is an initiative of Habitat For Humanity Singapore and this is their 7th edition, "Bare Your Sole 2015" where participants will walk without shoes to create awareness for those without homes. Habitat Singapore has since raised S$1.5 million from the fund raising efforts. Funds raised from "Bare Your Sole" will go towards expanding Habitat for Humanity Singapore’s local operations. In particular, it will fund their local home-cleaning programme, Project HomeWorks, where they will help better the living conditions of the elderly and disabled living in one-room rental flats all over the island. It is my pleasure to help to reach out to all to pledge their supports to this cause.
The walk distance is either 2 km or 4 km on 30 May, Saturday at Palawan Beach, Sentosa from 0800 hrs to 1200 hrs. Yes, walk without shoes (ouch, I can feel burnt but I shall press on).
Early bird registration is ending on 19 Apr and the fees are as follows:
1) Adult - S$32 (can bring max 2 children under 7 years)
2) Student/Senior Citizen above 65 years - S$22
3) Family of 4 (2 adults/2 students or senior citizen) - S$95
To know more or to register, please click here http://bareyoursole.org.sg/registration-info/. Alternatively, please email to firstname.lastname@example.org for group/corporate rates.
I will be walking less my shoes and I hope to see the rest of you there too.
Let's bare our soles for this cause together.
