Banting House National Historic Site of Canada is pleased to invite you to one of London’s unique fundraising events, Banting & Friends VII, featuring The Gallery Painting Group of London, potter Maggie Hesketh, and Ian Gordon from Fire & Iron Custom Metalwork. The event will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2015.
This growing annual event, in support of Banting House National Historic Site of Canada, will begin at 5:30pm with pre-dinner drinks including wine generously provided by Legends on the Lake Estate Winery. Dinner will feature a sizzling summer barbeque prepared by Felipe Gomes and his crew from Aroma Mediterranean Restaurant. This gourmet spread is not to be missed.
Banting & Friends is the museum’s sole fundraising event, and thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, it provides an opportunity to showcase original art created by local London artists. Sir Frederick Banting was a proud supporter of amateur Canadian art and our group of participating artists embodies the same spirit and passion in their work. Works on display will be available for purchase with 50% of the proceeds directed to sustaining Banting House programing. In addition the fine fare and art, there will be a silent auction including a variety of dining and entertainment experiences.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to build community awareness for both the life and career of Sir Frederick Banting and the arts community in the revitalized Old East Village. A limited number of tickets are available – $100 per couple/$55 per person. Reserve yours by contacting Grant Maltman at 519-673-1752 or by email at email@example.com.
