Launch your babysitting career or have your kids refresh their babysitting skills before leaving them home alone with younger children when school gets out! If you are 10-15 years old and want to become a better babysitter, this one-day American Red Cross camp will give you the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to care for infants and school-aged children. Group discussion focuses on topics such as responding to emergencies, illnesses, first aid, wound care, nose bleeds, choking, rescue breathing, safety, hygiene, preventing disease transmission, making decisions under pressure, feeding, diapering, caring for infants, communicating with parents, household rules and more! Mercy Medical Center instructor Johnene Gutzmann, RN will be at The Meeting Place on Wednesday, May 27th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
