For Auburn Bay neighbors to make/purchase activities for quiet bins. The idea is to split up the "work" making it more economical and much easier to manage making the bins! Each group member makes enough of the activity they have agreed to put together for all group members. A total number will be posted. Then we share the finished activities and we each end up with a filled 7 day bins worth of activities for our littles to enjoy during quiet time. I will organize all items for pick up, bins not included, days of the week's signs might be. The goal of quiet bins is to encourage independent play, problem solving, and developing motor skills. The key to successful quiet bins is that the activities of each day are to only be played with that day of the week. This makes it special and encourages children to want to play with them. The best part- it gives moms and dads and caregivers some time to fix meals, load the laundry, put other children down for naps.
