For your listening pleasure we have...
Clutching At Straws
Clutching At Straws are a multi-talented and diverse alternative folk group, hailing from the ‘creative county’ of Staffordshire. Clutching At Straws use an impressive variety of instruments to build a full, layered sound suffused with subtlety. Straws take you on a journey through almost every sound world.
After forming in 2012, The Brwmys have been spreading their music around like jam on toast. Influences are predominantly folk, rock and blues, but these are combined with flavours of Asia, South America, and the middle-east to give the band an unusual and unique sound. Songs can be simple or complex, gentle or manic with no barriers to constrain experimentation.
Long For The Coast
Long For The Coast are a Bristol-based acoustic duo who really fancy each other and sing about their friends, skateboarding, the state of the world and ice-cream vanz. Inspired by artists such as Against Me, Tom Waits, The Gaslight Anthem and Sufjan Stevens, they hope that the sincerity of their lyrics might help to promote a culture of openness and social acceptance.
Quincy, Tambo & Smalls
Quincy, Tambo & Smalls are a 3 piece Roots/Acoustic/Blues band from Cardiff. With covers from Tom Waits to The Pixies alongside plenty of original material.
