Take a step back in history to learn the ancient Hawaiian technique of creating pawehe ipu - or tattoo gourd. Green gourd carving and dyeing is a technique found only in the Hawaiian islands.
This fun, hands-on day (for all abilities) will take you through the steps of selecting a gourd, design, layout and carving. Each student will carve their own gourd and prepare it for dyeing from home.
Cost: $110.00 (4 hour workshop)
All gourds and supplies will be provided by instructor.
