An Everyday Party is a surprise party (shhh!) to celebrate those who make a daily journey through the Bearpit. It’s a party that commends their commute and marks a moment in the day that is usually instantly forgotten.
Watch the space steadily fill with the spirit of the funfair and join Megan to surprise passersby, as she takes us back in time to when the Bearpit was a place of destination, a trading post and a flurry of excitement.
The party is free and open to all. Just turn up!

About Art in Bearpit
For six months, Bristol’s iconic Bearpit will play host to a series of unusual interventions and encounters, interrupting the everyday life of the city. Art in Bearpit is a pilot programme of commissions and events developed for the Bearpit in central Bristol, taking place from May to October 2015. Initiated by Bearpit Improvement Group, Art in Bearpit is produced by Bristol arts producers Hand in Glove, and is supported by Arts Council England, Bristol City Council Creative Seed and Gane Trust.
