Angus Darts Association in partnership with Angus Trophy Centre presents........
A Brand New Event for our affiliated Leagues and Players.
ANGUS CHAMPIONS CUP 2015
This is billed as the Champions Cup and we are looking to find the "BEST PUB TEAM" in Angus.
We require a minimum of 8 teams to take part for the Tournament to get off the ground in it's maiden year but anticipate a bigger turnout due to feedback from around the Angus Leagues.
A Minimum of 6 players per team is required to enter your pub team.
6-8 boards will be in use during the day.
This is a team event.
Registration from 11-11:30am.
Group Draw @ 11:45am.
Toe the Oche 12 noon.
£800 - £1000 prize pot (Depends on Number of Teams entering)
It's intended to be a full day event which will take a few hours to complete the group stages alone, just so players are aware.
Pub Teams will be drawn into groups
The top teams from each group will progress through to the knock out stages where as the lower ranked teams will be place in the Ravens Spoon knock out consolation.
Each team will play in a round robin format in the group stages with a match against every other group opponent.
* 6 players will be selected to play from your team in singles matches.
* Each Team Captain will write down the chosen 6 in order of play. The sheets will be brought together and player 1 will play his opponent in the same slot and so on until the 6th set.
* A match will only consist of 6 Singles in the Group Stages so a Win, Draw or Loss is possible.
3 - Points for a win
1 - Point for a draw
0 - Points for a loss
*All legs will count in League totals for the event of count back being required.
* Each Set of a match will be played over the best of 3 x 501 format with ALL 3 legs being played (18 legs total in each match)
Each pub team must be made up of your original signed pub team players from your domestic affiliated Angus League from the current playing season of 2014/15.
Teams CANNOT be made up from different teams in the same league or indeed different leagues.
It has to be your week night pub team.
Registration forms will be available from Angus Darts Chairperson Alan Soutar or Area Organiser Steve Green. They will also be available to download from the homepage of the Angus Darts Association Website
This is a rough outline of how it's going to work and enough so we can get the information out to our players and teams in good time.
More details and FULL Rules will be available soon on the Angus Darts Website.
