Identity theft costs Canadians more than $30 billion each year, so we are giving you a way to safely recycle your old documents to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands. You can bring up to 6 boxes of personal documents to this FREE AMA Shredding Event to be shredded. Also, lucky for us and even luckier for you, Shred-it , the RCMP and the Edmonton Police Service have joined us to help ensure your documents are destroyed immediately and securely. Over the years, more than $90,000 and 43,000 lbs of food have been donated to local food banks at AMA Shredding Events and so we’re once again asking if you can bring a cash or non-perishable donation for the Edmonton's Food Bank! And of course, a little extra info never hurts right? - Need help knowing what to shred? - Wondering how the event works? - Looking for other events being held across the province? Visit for all the answers and a fun infographic that tells the story. Don’t forget to follow @AMACommunity ( for live up-to-date tweets of all Shredding Events, with the hashtag #AMAshred!
