Colorado Medieval Festival – Beer/Mead Garden
1750 Savage Rd, Loveland, Colorado 80538
Enjoy live Mediterranean Music and Dance by Alexandria Ensemble. Colorado Medieval Festival also features magicians, sword fighting by SCA and Amtgard, food by Blind Peasant Productions, alcohol by Nordic Hearth Meadery and Buckhorn Brewery, and much more… General Admission $8. Under 5 free. Performers Free* (see below).
From 2-4pm, while the 'warriors' are off medieval sword fighting, some children are relaxing with their parents in the beer/mead garden. We will play live music and do some belly dancing (We do not need dancers the whole time.) During the latter part of the Hafla, we will ask the girls in the audience to come up and dance with us. Alexandria Dancers are excited to share their passion for belly dance with the little girls and their mothers. Don’t be surprised to get your picture taken with a future belly dancer. (Just like we did at Laughing Buck Farm.) This Alexandria Ensemble “Portable Hafla” is not a show; so dance when you want, drink when you want.
*The first 20 Alexandria performers in costume, Dancers and Drummers, each receives 2 VIP passes to the Colorado Medieval Festival (yourself and a guest), and 2 free drinks (Mead or Beer). Ice water is also provided (free). Performers directly contact https://www.facebook.com/richard.herrington.7 to reserve VIP passes (please don't post here about passes, other posts OK).
Dancers, tribal costume if you have it, although most costumes acceptable. We'll have a canopy behind some trees for dancers to relax - a ‘Green Room’. We will have a 5 gallon jug of ice water in the Green Room for our whole group (provided by CMF). Changing area not far. For dancing, we have a 9’x12’ carpet like we used at Laughing Buck Farm. If you have a towel, mat, or small cushion for the Green Room, bring it. And a hat.
Musicians bring a hat (we’ll be in the sun for much of the time), sun glasses, sunscreen, a chair to sit on while playing, your costume, and instruments. You may bring a day pack with additional drinks (any kind) and/or lunch.
Festival runs 10am – 6pm (festival also on Friday and Sunday), come enjoy watching people beat on each other with padded weapons, and other fun entertainment. Bring money if you want to shop or buy food. CMF fb link:
