Aidan Baker Trio
Aidan Baker is a Canadian multi-instrumentalist currently based in Berlin, Germany. Active as a solo artist and with various ensembles (Nadja, Caudal, BBS, etc), he has toured and performed around the world and released numerous albums on such labels as Die Stadt Musik, Alien8 Recordings, and Robotic Empire. On his upcoming tour, he will be joined by Felipe Salazar (Caudal, Hypnodrone Ensemble) on drums and Simon Goff (And The Wiremen, Bee & Flower) on violin and bass. The trio will be performing material from his recent releases "Half Lives" (Gizeh Records), "The Confessional Tapes" (Pleasence Records), and the forthcoming "In The Red Room" Karlrecords), a collaboration with Idklang.
Idklang is the solo project of Austrian guitarist, singer, and producer Markus Steinkellner. Active since 2009, he has performed his music, which mixes electronic, experimental, industrial, and even black metal, throughout Europe, South America, and Asia.
“His music transcends genres. When he shifts the musical scenes, he channels industrial legends Throbbing Gristle and the ever experimental Gordon Sharp of Cindytalk. His vocals range from soft, high-pitched, Thom Yorke-esque stylings to black metal worship that in some places even reminds one of Chelsea Wolfe’s electronic tunes of witchcraft.” (Anne-Marie Darok / MICA)
