In the year we commemorate the 600th Anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt, Raglan Castle will be telling the story of our Blue Knight of Gwent, Sir William ap Thomas who built Raglan Castle and fought alongside the victorious King Harri V who was born in Monmouth.
We will also be remembering the Welsh Longbowmen who were enlisted for the battle because of their unrivalled bowmenship. We will be joined by Welsh baby dragons and having a dragon parade as well as displays by Welsh Longbowmen.
We will be having a distinct French theme at our weekend! All things French will be represented, from a Bistro café complete with accordion player, local charcuterie, crepes, boules and croquet on the green, and escargot racing!
There will be trails, games, face-painting and an archery tournament among the activities for kids, plus tours, historical displays and stalls for the grown ups.
