The April 2015 super storm that hit Sydney and the Hunter region of New South Wales left three people dead, homes washed away and hundreds rescued from floodwaters. Heavy rain and cyclonic winds saw power cut to hundreds of thousands of homes across the state and the declaration of 12 natural disaster areas, seven of those in the Hunter.
ABC Open and ABC Newcastle are collecting Aftermath stories: Disaster, resilience and recovery.
