As some of you might know, there is going to be a major "sitsit" (table party) on the Senate Square on May 28th. AEGEE-Helsinki is not participating in the actual sitsit but we thought it might be fun to do an unofficial picnic thing on the side while watching the sitsit and chilling out in the sun. So, we'll gather up to the steps of Tuomiokirkko (the legendary chill-out place during summertime, on Senate Square) at 5pm. Bring your own picnic food and dress according to the weather :) And wear a student cap if you have one. There will be an afterparty for the sitsit which can probably be joined if people are up for it.
WHAT: Shadow event for "Suursitsit" (picnic)
WHERE: The steps of Tuomiokirkko (the Dome on Senate Square)
WHY: Dinner and a show :D It will be nice to follow the big celebration from the steps and why say no to a picnic?
Briefly about the "Suursitsit":
"As a part of the University of Helsinki's 375 year anniversary and the 150 year anniversary of the student cap, The Grand Academic Dinner Party on the Senate Square gathers the academic community and citizens together to celebrate the joyful traditions of the academic table feast for the second time in history.
Afterwards we shall move to a common afterparty. The dress code is a summerly suit, nation/organisation colours/ribbon and a student cap. Please mind the weather when selecting your outfit."
