Fancy yourself a good mover, but stink at picking up choreography? Do you 'kill it' at the singing/acting portion but get cut at or after the dance callback? Are you a trained dancer who overthinks or blanks out in a dance call? If so, this is totally the course for you! Brittany has taught the masterclass 'Ace the Dance Call' at performing arts high schools and dance studios in New York and Orange County. From what to wear (and what not to) to the dos and don'ts of body language in the room, students will also learn sequencing techniques and participate in body/space awareness exercises. Course includes a sense of humor. After all, once the joy of dancing overcomes the fear of the audition there is nothing to worry about!

Brittany Rose Hammond recently closed 3DT's Seussical as a sassy, gossiping bird girl. When not performing she is teaching tap, hip hop, and choreographing competitive dance pieces for ages 7-17. Recent credits include How To Succeed...(Feat. Ens/Dance Capt.) & They're Playing Our Song (Ego, Dance Capt.) at STAGES St. Louis, Johanna in Sweeney Todd (OCC Symphony), and in 2013 she enjoyed touring* the U.S., Canada, and Japan with the recent HAIR revival (Swing[all female leads]/Dance Capt.). Running, snowboarding, and pretending she can beatbox are at the top of her non-theatrical hobby list. Next up, "Bitty" is excited to reprise her role as Kathy Selden in Singin' in the Rain opening May at SDMT. For all other adventures visit BrittanyRoseHammond.com!
