Abraham Lincoln to visit Ripon, Wisconsin

The Birthplace of Republican Party Museum will host the 16th President of the United States Abraham Lincoln on Saturday, May 30th beginning at 1:00 pm. “President Lincoln” is portrayed by actor/speaker Fritz Klein who has been seen on the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, National Geographic Television, and numerous other media outlets. Klein’s presentation will focus on Lincoln’s position against slavery and the founding of the Republican Party. Since 1981, actor Fritz Klein has become one of the nation’s best-known Lincoln impersonators. Klein’s portrayal of the 16th president is known locally and nationally by having 250 performances a year at his numerous venues, including the productions and short films he has participated in as well. During his performances Klein tries to keep true to himself and his character by not researching other impersonators and by focusing on important topics president Lincoln is involved with like slavery, his rise from poverty and his honesty. Klein also focuses on Lincoln’s core values- integrity, equality and hard work. The presentation will take place in the of The Little White Schoolhouse. The event will move inside incase of inclement weather. The Birthplace of the Republican Party Museum is celebrating the 161st Anniversary of the historic event that took place on March 20th 1854 throughout the year. The event is free and open to public.
