AARON LAFALCE http://www.aaronlafalce.com/ Aaron was born and raised in Asheville, NC at a time when the town was simultaneously voted "Best Place to Raise a Family", "Best Place to Vacation", & "Freak Capital of the U.S.A." in national press. If the South is considered the Bible Belt, Asheville is a notch in that belt that loosens things up a bit and lets it all hang out. His blend of Soul, Rock, R&B, & Appalachia is nicely accessorized by lyrics clothed in the tension between inner city struggles and the comfort of down-home mountain life. Aaron has opened for artists like Drivin n Cryin and Gary Jules. He’s jammed on stage with Cliff Williams (of AC/DC) and Reggie McBride (James Brown, Elton John, & Keb Mo). After 10 years of writing, gigging, and growing-up, he released the EP KAIROLOGY. Aaron performs live as a solo acoustic artist and with a band, fronting on guitar and piano. Aaron was voted "Best Singer/Songwriter in Western North Carolina" by Mountain Xpress Readers 2013, 2011, & 2010. DRAKE MURPHY http://www.reverbnation.com/drakemurphy Drake Murphy is from Addor, North Carolina. He grew up in music coming from a musical family. Drake started piano lessons at the age of 2 and started violin in 4th grade. His father, Paul Murphy had a studio in which he taught Drake how to use all of the equipment in order to not break it. While everyone was sleeping, Drake would go into their studio and record, but he wouldn't let anyone hear his creations. One day his father found one of his tapes, saw his potential and encouraged him to continue. He was about 5 years old. At the age of 15, Drake began to professionally record music. He caught the ear of a former J. Records recording artist. At the time, he was a solo producer and when he turned 17 he joined forces with his brother, Kent Murphy. They went by the name of Beatmizers Productions which later became Dark Matter Productions and which is currently Addor Music Group. They've had studio sessions with notable producers such as: A-REX, Shin Hyuk, Sean Hamilton, and J Angel. When the aforementioned J. Records artist found out Drake was 15, he never called Drake back. Drake wasn't discouraged, he kept making music and submitting it to other record companies. The first record company on a major scale to respond was Atlantic Records. Drake began speaking with them, but ultimately chose to go the independent route. He wanted to have more control over his projects. Everything on Drake's debut album, Feel Better was written, recorded, mixed/mastered, and distributed by Drake. Feel Better is an independent project separate from the production of Addor Music Group. He recorded his whole album by using a smart-phone controlled app that allowed him to run his studio while recording. Drake plays over 12 instruments including: accordion, guitar (his favorite), piano, drums, bass, electric and stand-up acoustic, trombone, trumpet, and violin. He's been most influenced by Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo AKA The Neptunes, Timbaland, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Jaco Pastorius, Pat Metheny, and his father, brother, and grandfather. POET RADIO http://www.reverbnation.com/poetradio Music is magic. And enigmatic frontwoman MadMax of Poet Radio, knows exactly the right incantations for creating a dynamic, raw, and heady experience to rival any you've ever seen or felt. Their sound is dark and soulful, yet deceptively poppy and fun. Sullen and Brooding hang about the room like smoke and mystery among Obvious, Danceable, and Catchy. Make friends with these musical disciples, and you might just find your new favorite band.
