HOW DO YOU KEEP FINDING YOUR DETERMINATION TO BRING SOMETHING OF HEALING BACK TO THE VILLAGE? In tonight’s story, there is a forest, which holds danger, a central square, which holds clues, and a castle, which can be boon-giving or beguiling. It is not a surprise to find that old myths like the one this evening bring a sense of homecoming along with instructions about how to travel the mythic journeys of initiation. After all, myth was the instruction booklet our ancestors referred to before the written word and the storehouse of plenty when times were lean. TOPICS Listening for clues Knowing where nowhere leads What is the healing you are carrying PROCESS Join this evening of storytelling and healing in the old wild tradition of the tale told loud. Arrive early to meet some new and old friends and then settle in for an engaging experience of myth and community. In the tradition of indigenous wisdom, we will “feed” the story, by way of our discussion, feedback, and attempt to glean what specific message the story has for us on this particular day. LOCATION We will meet at the lovely Balance Within Studio (at Positive Passions) in downtown Saskatoon. This is an evening for good people like you who are longing to bridge spirituality with the practical, wishing to build community sustainability, aspiring to a deep communication with emotion, intuition, and body, and bringing their gift into the world. COST $25 Gratefully Received at the Door FACILITATOR The facilitator of this evening and the Saturday is the author of "Medicine Without an Expiry Date: Indigenous Remedy for Modern Trouble." Randy was called as a "Listener for the Other World" in Africa. His passion is to revive the ancient conversation between nature and the human village. He is a drummer, dancer, poet, and "helper of communities," crossing the thresholds of instinct, intimacy, and inspiration. REGISTER RSVP to the Facebook event and show up 15 minutes early.
