Join me on my yearly journey of cycling to put an end to AIDS and HIV, in spirit or by riding with me. We can conquer this disease in our lifetime and leave an AIDSless world for those who follow us. I ride because people I love are battling this illness and face stigma daily.
I don't have AIDS. I am not HIV Positive. Nobody in my family is Positive. Yet from May 31st-June 6th 2015, I'm bicycling in my 6th AIDS/LifeCycle. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.
A month later, We will be riding 200 miles in two days on July 11th and 12th from Chicago to Wisconsin in a effort to raise much need funds for TPAN (Test Positive Aware Network).
Help me fight this ENDABLE PANDEMIC!
HIV/AIDS has affected so many friends in my life. Truth is that when I did my first ride, from Minneapolis to Chicago, in 2002, I didn't know anyone who had HIV nor did I really know anyone who had been affected by it. But since my first training rides I have become close with many people affected by this ENDABLE PANDEMIC.
I'm attempting to raise the most money I have ever raised with every single penny going to the SF AIDS Foundation, the LA Gay and Lesbian Center and Chicago's Test Positive Aware Network. I believe in these organizations and the work they do PREVENTING the spread of the disease and ASSISTING those living and dying with HIV/AIDS.
HIV/AIDS is not a gay disease.
It is not a young person's disease.
It is not a drug addict's disease.
It is not a people of color disease.
It is an all-of-us disease.
I train for thousands of miles a year and spin when I can't train outside. My first full week of June is dedicated to the fight for one simple fact:
HIV IS 100% PREVENTABLE. THIS PANDEMIC CAN END IN OUR LIFETIME! YOUR DONATION WILL HELP TREMENDOUSLY!
Please give what you can. $1,000, $500, $250, $100, or whatever you can. Spread your payments over multiple months if you want. And thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Help me support AIDS/LifeCycle and TPAN by giving what you can. We'll keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past.
