Bessemer, Alabama Barbecue and blues are a great combination so start planning for the 6th Annual Bob Sykes Bbq and Blues Festival set for Saturday, May 30th. The event will take place at the beautiful DeBardeleben Park located in historic downtown Bessemer, Alabama from 12-8pm. Gates open at 11am. It is a relaxing and fun atmosphere for the entire family. You can expect to hear talented award winning local and national blues musicians. Be sure to bring a chair or blanket and set-up your spot for the day.
There is something to do for the entire family including a large kids corner with free activities and games. Children twelve and under are free. Come hungry for Bob Sykes Bbq, vendors offering a wide range of desserts, arts, crafts and free giveaways. Pre-sell tickets are $15 and can be purchased at www.bobsykesblues or at Bob Sykes Bar B Q Restaurant. $20 at the gate. The festival will give a portion of the proceeds to a local charity as in the previous years.
