Help us celebrate the wonderful fibers being grown right here in our own Sonoma, Marin, and Mendocino Counties. May is our peak shearing season, a natural harvest time for wools. Learn about how fiber growers and artists trade and sell fleeces from raw, to washed, to carded, to handspun yarns and felted fabrics. Artisan crafted wool goods available will include clothing, bedding, home accessories, blankets, rugs, handspun yarns and more.
Scheduled mill tours daily along with shearing demonstrations, grading wool (determining wool features and end use potential), and educational lectures on how wool is washed, carded, spun, felted and made into bedding, clothing, yarns and other home and artistic goods. Enjoy watching artists spinning, weaving., knitting, felting and more.
In addition to "EVERYTHING WOOL" we will showcase some of the best local foods, cheeses and wines bringing back the organic, locally grown treasures of our unique area. Be a part of supporting our own local farms and artisans of sustainable ‘FARM TO HOME’ goods. LET’S DO THIS!
And.....wait for it....... it's FREE!
