Please join us for the 2nd Annual YWCA Rainbow Run Walk at Eldridge Park on Friday, June 12th 2015
This event is meant for all members and ages of our community as a way to come together to Celebrate Diversity, Encourage Acceptance, and Take a Stand Against Bullying, with the belief that we can not be complete until ALL persons can live free of harassment and discrimination.
What makes it a rainbow event?
Volunteers trow non-toxic different colored powdered paints at participants shirts. by the end of the race , the shirts (and yes, other parts of your body), will be decorated with color providing a visual statement of the event and how our differences, like the different colors, can brighten our lives. As part of this Family-Friendly event, we are offering two ways to participate.
- 1k Family Walk around Eldridge Lake
- 5k Run/Walk will make three trips around Eldridge Park
