Relay For Life is a fundraising event that brings together Douglas County to Celebrate Survivors, Remember those we've lost and Fight Back against cancer.
Teams from around Douglas County have been fundraising for months and will stay at the Free State High School track all night; team members taking turns walking (only a few running) the track. If you're not on a team, you can still participate and be a part of the Relay experience. Food vendors will on site throughout the evening (and will donate 50% of their proceeds back to Relay!); teams will be selling t-shirts and popcorn to earn more toward their team fundraising goal; there will be inflatables for kids, live music, a silent auction and more!
Come in time for the 7pm opening ceremony honoring Survivors and Caregivers and stay for the 9pm ceremony honoring those who have fought cancer with an emotional and touching luminaria lighting at dusk.
Other than food and team fundraisers, the event is FREE. Stop by to experience a truly unique and touching fundraising event.
