The 2015 Hillsborough Spring Garden Tour will be held on Saturday, May 16th from 10am-5pm and on Sunday, May 17th from 1pm-5pm. This year's tour will feature 12 inspirational gardens, plus many displays of art and informative sessions. This tour promises to be so much more than just a tour of gardens! Other supporting elements will include a country tea at the Inn at Tear Drops, a floral design display and horticulture show at the Burwell School Historic Site with People's Choice Awards, a plant sale and garden vendors at the Visitors Center, a special floral art exhibit at the Hillsborough Arts Council gallery, children's activities sponsored by the Orange County Main Library, and poetry readings at historic Ayr Mount. Informative sessions expected in the gardens will focus on bee keeping, composting, native plants, water features, pleine aire artists, proper pruning demonstrations, and more.
