Relay For Life is a 12-hour overnight fundraising event that helps raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. Participants walk or run together around the track all night towards the goal of eradicating cancer. At relay individuals will:
- participate in meaningful ceremonies including the Remember Wall
- learn about cancer prevention
- enjoy food, festivities and entertainment throughout the evening
We also encourage our participants to challenge themselves by setting a distance goal of either 5 km, 10 km or more!
Last year, the Canadian Cancer Society raised 42.2 million dollars at relays across the country. These funds go to support families battling cancer and researchers looking for a cure. Join us in the fight against cancer today!
This years event is happening May 30, 2015 from 7p.m to 7 a.m at Parkland Track and Field.
