Santiago de Compostela to Spain to the END of the EARTH - Finesterra.
Dating back as far as the 9th Century, pilgrims have been walking to both Muxía & Finisterre as the final stretch of the itinerary traced by the Milky Way to the westernmost explored part of continental Europe; to Finisterre – the ‘End of the Earth’, where the cliffs plunge steeply to the sea & the sun disappeared each evening.
This 118 kilometer (70 miles) walk makes a perfect extension as a pilgrim arriving in Santiago or as a stand-alone trip to enjoy the wonders of Galicia’s magnificent coastline.
Leaving the hustle & bustle of Santiago de Compostela, this route passes through rural landscapes of high plateaus, forested tracks, country villages & the reward of stunning coastal trails & headlands where the pace slows to that of centuries of sea faring life.
Our accommodations are in first class country manor houses and small inns. All rooms have private bathrooms. Breakfast and dinners included. Van support throughout the entire trip.
