If you are interested in ALS Research, this is your chance to hear from and speak with local ALS researchers and the Chief Public Policy Offier for The ALS Association.
Kim Goslin, M.D. Ph.D., Medical Director of the Providence ALS Center, will present on the topic of clinical trials, focusing on what is happening now and what we can expect to be on the horizon.
Joe Beckman, Ph.D., Principal Investigator and Ava Helen Pauling Chair for the Linus Pauling Institute, Director of the Environmental Health Sciences Center and Distinguished Professor with the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, will present on the topic of SOD1 Gene and seeking New Therapies for the treatment of ALS.
Steve Gibson, Chief of Public Policy for The ALS Association will present on The ALS Association's efforts to harness public policy for ALS research as well as the drug development pipeline and how we work with the FDA, scientists and pharmaceutical companies to create new therapies to treat ALS.
All are welcome. This event has no registration fee, however, RSVPs are required. Accessible parking and restrooms will be available and light refreshments will be served. A question and answer panel discussion will follow the presentations.
